When Does My Apprenticeship Wage Go Up

Apprentices now earn a national minimum wage of £4.81 per hour.

Individuals between the ages of 16 and 18 and those between the ages of 19 and above, who are in their first year of work, are eligible for the minimum apprenticeship wage. All other apprentices should be paid the national minimum wage for their age.

The apprenticeship salary is updated every April.

Apprentices aged 19 and above who have completed at least one year of their apprenticeship qualify for the national minimum wage this is when your wage goes up.
