What Is The National Apprenticeship Wage

Throughout their apprenticeships, apprentices must be paid at least the apprentice national minimum wage.

Apprentices under the age of 19, or those 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship, will be paid a minimum of £5.28 per hour (from 1 April 2023), although many companies pay more.

Individuals who do not fall into one of these groups should be paid the age-appropriate minimum wage. GOV.UK offers information on the appropriate hourly rates.
