What is an Advanced Apprenticeship Equivalent to

Employers and apprentices should be clear on the level of apprenticeship and the opportunity for promotion.

The level is stated in the engagement statement, signed by the apprentice, the employer, and the learning provider.

What is an Advanced Apprenticeship Equivalent to?

Two A-levels are similar to an advanced apprenticeship. Advanced apprentices can obtain a level 3 work-based learning certificate or credential, such as a BTEC.

Ideally, applicants should have five GCSEs at grade 4 (formerly grade C) or above or have finished an intermediate apprenticeship to initiate an advanced apprenticeship programme.
