On a manufacturing engineer apprenticeship course, you will help play a crucial role in facilitating the transition from design programs to the manufacturing phase. Your contribution is essential for effective launch planning and the seamless delivery of innovative new products or product refresh initiatives.
You will help ensure products are launched punctually, within budget, and meeting quality standards. Typically, apprentices collaborate closely with various engineers, functions, and managers, both within their organisation and among suppliers.

Entry requirements
You’ll usually need:
- Five GCSEs at 9-4 (or A*-C on the old grading scale), including English and Maths.
- Level 3 qualifications, such as A-Levels, NVQs, a BTEC or a Level 3 (Advanced) apprenticeship.
Assessment methods
The programme is assessed in various ways before completing the End Point Assessment including case study presentation and occupational professional discussion.
Restrictions and requirements
- Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.
