Since you will be dealing with currencies, prices, and commodities daily, numeracy and literacy are also needed.

As a Level 2 apprentice, you’d most likely start as an assistant, with duties including checkouts and cash handling, customer care, replenishing and rotating stock, setting up displays, and stock control, like purchasing and delivery.
When you advance, positions range from Sales Assistants to Store Managers, Buyers and Merchandisers to Marketing Executives.
Some people tend to work in areas relevant to learning and development, such as personnel, finance, or information technology.
How long would it take?
Training takes between 12 and 18 months from start to end.
