What Happens If I Quit My Apprenticeship

First and foremost, you are allowed to leave an apprenticeship at any time. It’s much the same as if you were in a traditional job; your contract will state how much notice you must give your employer if you decide to leave.

What happens if I quit my apprenticeship?

Before making your decision, discuss any questions, difficulties, or concerns you may have with your employer or training provider. If you tell them, they may carry out the specific changes you desire or provide more assistance and instruction if necessary.

Recognising that change is not always achievable in every scenario is essential. If you believe quitting your apprenticeship is the best option, keep your options in mind as you go forward.

Furthermore, during these challenging times, firms may find themselves in the unenviable position of being forced to lay off apprentices.
