A carpentry apprenticeship is for you if you like working with your hands, constructing distinctive structures, and spending time on construction sites. Throughout your on-the-job training as an apprentice carpenter, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Analysing blueprints
- Wood and other materials selection and ordering
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials in a logical order
- Making furniture such as tables, chairs, and cabinets
- Installation of exterior wall coverings and window frames
- Examining damaged structures
- Making fixes and changes
