Roofer

Roofer

On a roofer apprenticeship course, you’ll work at height on roofs for buildings of all shapes and sizes.

A roofer installs different roofing materials and goods. You will learn to interpret drawings as well as measure and calculate the amount of materials needed to complete a job, which could range from repairing a single tile or slate on a domestic property to re-roofing public buildings such as schools, working on new build housing projects, or installing the roof on large commercial buildings.

Roofers may be on-site for a few hours to a few weeks, so this apprenticeship is perfect if you wish to switch jobs often. For example, you may specialise in roof slating and tiling, waterproof membrane installation, or roof sheeting and cladding with this apprenticeship.
