On a recruitment resourcer apprenticeship course, you’ll help identify, attract and shortlist candidates for the recruitment process.

As a recruiting resourcer, you’ll discover, attract, and choose candidates for any company that needs to hire people and provide support. It’s also possible that you’ll be charged with finding new company possibilities.

What you’ll learn

On a recruitment resourcer apprenticeship course, you’ll learn to:

  • Fulfil employment requirements, research, locate, and attract candidates via all possible methods.
  • Monitor the responses/applications received and ensure that candidate applications are processed as soon as possible.
  • Assist in recruitment and selection by effectively interacting with candidates and internal teams.
  • Make, keep, and expand candidate relationships.
  • Participate in the development of a resourcing plan for recruitment.
  • Frequently and in a proactive way, strive to uncover new candidates and customer prospects.
  • On a first-come, first-served basis, assist with all enquiries.
  • Carry out pre-employment and compliance checks in line with company policy and legislation.
  • Assist in ensuring candidates and clients get a professional and comprehensive recruitment service.
  • Obtain and professionally provide candidacy feedback at all times.
  • Accurately record candidate and customer information in the recruitment database.
  • Follow all relevant laws and best practices while using database information.
  • Elevate disobedience as required.

Entry requirements

You’ll usually need:

  • GCSEs, usually including English and maths, or equivalent, for an intermediate apprenticeship.
  • Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this before taking the end-point assessment.

Assessment methods

The End Point Assessment comprises two distinct parts: 

  • Resourcing Project Assignment  
  • Professional Discussion 

Duration, level, subjects and potential salary upon completion

  • Duration: 12 months
  • Level: 2 – Intermediate Apprenticeship
  • Relevant school subjects: Business studies
  • Potential salary upon completion: £18,000 per annum
