Product Design and Development Engineer

Product Design and Development Engineer

On a product design and development engineer apprenticeship course, you’ll help use engineering techniques to bring new products to life or redesign existing products.

At all stages of product development, a product design and development engineer works on the building, modification, and componentry of goods. Everything from early concept feasibility and computer-aided design through final launch and customer preparation will fall under your purview.

You’ll work in concept studios, quick prototyping, assembly, testing, validating, and analysing performance while working directly with suppliers and management to bring new ideas to life or contribute to redesigns of established products.

You’ll get a bachelor’s degree in engineering after completing the apprenticeship course.
