With a history stretching over 30 years, Pendennis Shipyard is one of the world’s leading superyacht refit and custom build facilities renowned for its diverse sailing and motor yacht projects. Based in its 14 acre waterfront location in the thriving maritime town of Falmouth, Pendennis employs over 450 highly skilled tradespeople and has seen its people ethos rewarded with over 20 awards since its foundation.

Pendennis’ heritage and experience include more than 300 refit projects and over 30 custom-made build projects and has been involved with some of the most iconic yachts in the world.

Good pension plan, Friendly place to work, Job Security

Cons

Your just a number, getting jobs done can be frustrating due to outdated, inadequate equipment. you won’t get anywhere unless your a yes man and will put your home life well and truly on hold, Management can be petty..

Poor pay for engineering. Lots of walking so tiring

You get some benefits such as a simply health insurance plan, 1.5 hourly over time rate and you can bank your over time hours as holiday

Can be a bit clicky between departments and can be difficult getting consumables for your job.

Some of the boys who have been there a while seem quite syndical. Not the majority though!

with regards to the management, you are only a number, and unless you are willing to work 50 hours a week, you are seen to be lacking in the commitment to the company. Just my opinion !
