It’s good if you are prepared to work hard
It’s hard work in hospitality, with long hours and stressful times. But if you are guest & team focused, and willing to work hard then it’s a great place. Lots of opportunities to work through through the ranks and options of NVQ’s at all levels to build your skills. Salary for management is good.
Fun place to work, pay not to great
Good job, working on the bar was always fun in busy periods, fab staff, managers hit and miss. Long hours with not so great pay. I was quite upset as I was progressing to assistant manager but when I became pregnant they no longer would give me the opportunity. Which I worked incredibly hard for.

Bare minimum credit to hard working staff and training is nowhere to be seen
Been working for the company for 10 years not the appreciation you so hope to have. Hours can be long or you ask for preferred hours and they aren’t giving.manager only seems to care about the higher of staff and no further training is ever giving to the people who want to work their way up.
Any issues at work are hard to get solved, management not on same page. Your bosses boss is most likely saving face and not their to support the team. Can only trust foh/boh staff who are not senior members of staff. Progress in role is hard in the company, better to get experience and apply for the role you want for the pay that suits you.
