Learning Mentor

Learning Mentor

On a learning mentor apprenticeship course, you’ll help support learners of all ages and levels to develop within a new work role.

A learning mentor is a person who helps people of all ages and abilities move to a new career. These learners include apprentices, trainees, or new hires (from new entrants to new CEOs) in the workplace or any vocational learning environment.

As an apprentice, you’ll acquire industry-specific knowledge and certifications that you’ll utilise to guide and help those who are less experienced or new to a work position. Consequently, the learning mentor is a “dual professional,” with current knowledge and abilities in a specialised occupational or subject area and the general skills needed to help learners.

You’ll help learners improve their knowledge, skills, and behaviour throughout the programme, particularly when applying theoretical learning in real-world settings. In terms of practical, technical, and pastoral issues, you’ll provide help and guidance.
