You may not need to get perfect marks for Army apprenticeships because the Army will teach you. However, if your reading and writing abilities could use some work, you’ll start with the basics and work your way up.
The Army can also compensate for advanced credentials such as NVQs or City and Guilds. In addition, whether it applies to your future, you will be eligible to obtain a fully paid degree or Master’s degree. This would help you in your Army career, leading to a highly skilled position.
You will compete in tournaments, adventures, and assault courses as part of your Army apprenticeship. It’ll be exhausting, but if this is your thing, it’ll be a lot of fun. And, since you’re in the military, you may also be allowed to do so in several exotic locations.

You’ll apply on the Army’s website; although several Army jobs are open, the website is interactive and very helpful if you’re unsure what to use.
What happens next?
Suppose you’ve applied for an Army apprenticeship. In that case, you’ll be given a fitness questionnaire to complete, and if you’re fit, you’ll be invited to the nearest Army Career Centre to speak with a recruiter about your next move.
If you tick any boxes, you can be welcomed to a two-day evaluation centre. You will be exposed to further tests to verify that you are psychologically fit to enter and a medical examination.
You may also be tested on your memory, comprehension, and writing abilities and your capacity to work with numbers. Although there is a minimum requirement to graduate, you do not need to be a genius – the Army is more involved in deciding whether you may need further training.
