How To Become An Electrician Without An Apprenticeship

Simply put, you will need training, experience, and certificates, whatever route you choose. These may be gained via an apprenticeship, as well as via training classes.

You might also enrol in one of the many Domestic Electrician courses available. However, these short courses will only offer you a limited amount of knowledge and experience, much less than necessary for a fully qualified electrician.

The courses are designed to take around 15 weeks, during which you will get the following certification

  • City & Guilds Level 2
  • City & Guilds Level 3
  • Wiring Regulations / 18th Edition
  • Level 3 Award in Inspection and Testing
