A Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) helps you gain and improve your on-the-job experience while earning a degree in Professional Policing Practice at the end of the training. How to apply for police constable degree apprenticeship?
The PCDA Curriculum is a three-year programme comprising academic modules, coursework, and exams. This course is worth a total of 360 points. This course blends advanced training with frontline duties as a student police officer. A police officer usually works 40 hours per week.
According to Police Regulations, an officer can apply for part-time duty, which would be considered during the initial delivery phase. However, the officer will be confirmed as autonomous in the post.
If an officer transition to part-time duty after completing their probationary period, the remainder of the probationary period is prorated.
