How To Apply For A Degree Apprenticeship

Degree apprenticeships are a new kind of programme that some institutions are introducing. Students may complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree as part of their apprenticeship.

These programmes are being developed in collaboration with employers, institutions, and professional organisations.

Degree apprenticeships combine on-the-job training with part-time university studies. Apprentices work through the programme, spending half of their time at university and the rest at their company. This might be done daily or weekly, depending on the programme and the demands of the business.

Depending on the level of study, they may take anywhere from three to six years to complete. The programme is currently only available in England and Wales; however, applications may be filed anywhere in the United Kingdom.

Because degree apprenticeships are still in their infancy, there are just a few vacancies. The number of available employment is projected to grow in the next year or two.

How to apply for a degree apprenticeship?

You apply for a degree apprenticeship like you would for a job: looking for available positions and submitting an application.

Like any other kind of job, employers may promote a degree apprenticeship at any time of year.

Using GOV.UK to make an application

Apply via the GOV.UK website. You may register, manage your applications, and get alerts when new apprenticeships become available.

Application to the employer directly

Of course, you may apply directly to an employer, just like you would for any other job.
