How Long is a Pipefitter Apprenticeship

Pipefitters are skilled craftspeople who build, patch, rebuild, stack, fabricate, and test pipe systems.

They usually start as juniors or apprentices. Pipework, valves, and pumps are often found in piping networks.

A pipefitter apprenticeship curriculum incorporates on-the-job experience at an engineering business with theoretical instruction at a college or university.

How long is a pipefitter apprenticeship?

When practising for their certification, pipefitter apprentices receive hands-on instruction in the relevant skills needed to be a pipefitter.

Welding, plating, and tubing fitting are only a few examples of these skills.

Depending on the level of qualification, the apprenticeship will run between 2 and 4 years.
