Levy Calculation

Employers liable to pay the Levy contribute 0.5% of their annual pay bill as their Levy payment. However, the government provides a “Levy allowance” of £15,000 per year, which means employers only pay the Levy on their pay bill amount above £3 million minus the £15,000 allowance.
