Degree apprenticeships are great, but how does a degree apprenticeship work? They combine work with part-time undergraduate education. Apprentices participate in the programme, spending half their day at university and the other half at their employer. These can be completed regularly or weekly, depending on the programme and the employer’s requirements.
Depending on the course level, they will take anything from three to six years to complete. The scheme is currently only available in England and Wales, but applications may be sent anywhere in the United Kingdom.
A degree apprenticeship works like a job, but there are just a few vacancies. The number of open vacancies is projected to grow in the coming year or two.
