As an apprentice, you will be a new or existing employee in a UK-based company, learning and improving your abilities alongside more experienced colleagues.
An apprentice also receives ‘off-the-job training, typically on a day-release basis with a training provider, to earn a qualification and Essential Skills certificates (reading, writing, maths and computers).
Before creating a training programme, your training provider will meet with you and your business to discuss your training needs. They will be there for you every step of the way throughout your apprenticeship to help you.
An apprentice will typically work four days per week for the company and one day per week for the training provider. An employer will reimburse the apprentice for their time with the training provider.
