Ecologist

Ecologist

On your ecologist apprenticeship course, you’ll study the relationships between plants, animals, and people and the balances within these interactions.

Because the profession of an ecologist is highly scientific and technical, you will learn to conduct extensive field studies and analyse data generated by fieldwork.

You’ll analyse, comprehend, and evaluate critical scientific information, concepts, and ideas. You’ll then use them to design surveys and investigations, implement them, write reports, and propose solutions to problems.

Ecologists operate in various capacities, including consultants, scientists, and policymakers. You will learn to work alone and as part of a bigger team, accepting responsibility for the quality of your work to offer scientific value to their organisation.

You will get a master’s degree in an ecological area relevant to your job, such as ecology, environmental conservation, or conservation biology.
