Construction Design and Build Technician

Construction Design and Build Technician

On a construction design and build technician apprenticeship course, you’ll help with essential building tasks such as building plans and designs.

As a construction design and build technician, you will help coordinate design information on construction projects and will spend most of your time on construction sites, with some time spent in offices.

Your main duties in building projects will include recognising client requirements and health and safety issues in project design.

On a construction site, you must ensure that all regulations are obeyed and that the environmental impact is minimal. You will assist architects in developing comprehensive designs for a construction project and commercial staff in cost monitoring.
