BTEC National Certificates, which are equal to two A levels, or Diplomas, which are equivalent to three A levels, are used in apprenticeships. As a consequence, they are often approved by certain institutions.
However, a more common method is as follows:
BTEC National Certificate –> BTEC Higher National Certificate (similar to or higher than A levels, not clear where on the NQF) –> College or university
