Business Analyst

You will help cultivate a deep understanding of an organisation’s inner workings and its industry context. Armed with this knowledge, you can propose enhancements spanning personnel, processes, and information technology.

  • Emphasise user experience, accessibility, and usability requirements in digital solution design
  • Recognise data’s value to an organisation and its role in business enhancement
  • Investigate the purpose and processes of gap analysis
  • Grasp the concepts of benefits realisation and management
  • Navigate legislation and industry standards relevant to the organisation and its sector

Entry requirements

You’ll usually need:

  • A-levels or an equivalent qualification to gain a place on a level 4 course. However, entry-level qualifications, such as GCSEs and relevant work experience at the right level, would generally be acceptable

Assessment methods

The programme is assessed in various ways before completing the End Point Assessment, including a project proposal with presentation and questioning and professional discussion underpinned by portfolio.

Restrictions and requirements

  • Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.

Duration, level, subjects and potential salary upon completion

  • Duration: 18 months
  • Relevant school subjects: ICT
  • Potential salary upon completion: £30,000 per annum
