About us

Over the past 60 years, we have built more than 450,000 homes and have grown to become one of the nation’s largest housebuilders with more than 6,000 direct employees and 27 divisions throughout Britain.

Our vision is to lead the future of housebuilding by putting customers at the heart of everything we do.

We build developments nationwide, from Aberdeen to Plymouth, helping to meet housing demand in towns, cities and rural areas. We provide high quality, value for money homes for all market sectors, plus homes for rent and shared ownership, and are leaders in brownfield development and urban regeneration.

Our three consumer brands, Barratt Homes, David Wilson and Barratt London make up the heart of our business and offer a variety of properties across the UK. From stylish apartments in the city of London to luxury detached houses in the beautiful countryside. We also have a commercial business Wilson Bowden creating spaces from industrial and office buildings to retail and leisure.

Excellent company to join straight out of college. Fast learning curve. Give you the opportunity to become multi disciplined through frequent role changes.

I completed my carpentry apprenticeship with Barratt homes and was welcomed into the team very well. I worked along side sub contractors on site and along side Barratt managers in the office. Everyone helped me.

If you get a chance to work for BDW Kent then go for it you will not be disappointed. I was not and wished I had not left but I needed more in my role which was not possible at the time.

My hunger and drive got the better of me and I wished I had not left.

Good place to work friendly people good benefits. Enjoyed my time working here. The halesowen office is very friendly and clean and tidy. Dress down friday to is good
