Reviews
Your experience will differ substantially upon location and reporting partner.
Pros
Some good staff and partners. If you get a mature/no nonsense technically solid reporting partner then you will likely be safe. If you are a poor/average accountant/clerk then, if you keep your head down, you can hide there; along with all the others.
Cons
Management and partners who don’t know the very basic elements of management; with a host of consequences. HR dept can’t be avoided, unfortunately. Mismatched study and work programme for staff. Accountants have been made partners before they are either mature, experienced and technically competent. Poor level of service to clients. Some partners have had a significant number of complaints against them, yet the only significant consequences was to (fortunately not me) the staff! Staff with ideas and initiative are viewed as a threat by some partners. For different reasons, such as toxic persons/atmosphere and competence of staff/management, do not work in Carlisle/Leeds/Hexham.
Advice to Management
Arrogance and ignorance is a curious combination; especially in the case of professionals.
